What you will do

  • Perform digital validation of SoCs by analyzing architecture and design specifications of specific IPs.
  • Develop comprehensive validation test plans in coordination with design, verification, and software teams.
  • Create validation drivers and test content for bare metal and OS-based environments (Linux, RTOS).
  • Execute validation content on emulation and silicon platforms.
  • Debug SoC failures using Trace32, TARMAC instruction traces, and waveform traces.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in C programming, including experience with makefiles, compiler flags, and linker scripts.
  • Ability to develop Python scripts for post-processing executable images into platform-loadable images.
  • Experience with ARM32/ARM64 assembly level programming.
  • Expertise in SoC debugging, including development of CMM scripts and recreation of test failures.
  • Experience with Linux kernel builds, ramdisk creation, and debugging Linux on emulation and validation platforms.
  • Location: Must be based in Austin, TX (Oakhill Office)

Nice to have

  • Understanding of multi-core SoC environments and bus infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of interrupt controllers, DMA, GPIO, and peripherals such as UART, I2C, and PCIe.
  • Understanding of SoC low power modes.
