Salary: $146,600 – $215,100

What you will do

• Define and lead system-level validation strategies for devices, firmware, cloud services, and monitoring systems.
• Architect and evolve scalable validation frameworks and test harnesses for complex embedded and distributed systems.
• Design and implement automated validation solutions to expand coverage and reduce system-level risk.
• Develop standardized software interfaces and tooling for interaction with hardware systems.
• Perform early validation by reviewing product requirements and design documents to identify risks.
• Mentor engineers and lead cross-functional initiatives to adopt shift-left validation practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–10+ years of experience in software development or system validation for distributed or embedded systems.
• Strong expertise in software architecture and system design across stateful systems.
• Advanced programming expertise in Python with strong OOP principles.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence engineering direction across teams.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Boston, MA.

Nice to have

• Experience with device simulation, firmware validation, or IoT system architectures.
• Experience designing validation frameworks for large-scale distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of performance, resilience, and system reliability validation.
