What you will do

• Establish and lead an internal AI research lab, reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer.
• Hire and mentor a world-class team focusing on foundation models, compiler/runtime optimization, and novel training paradigms.
• Optimize inference for customers by combining sparsity, quantization, and mixture-of-experts with low-level kernel innovations.
• Represent the company at top-tier venues and open-source conferences to guide long-term technical direction.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Data-Centre teams to convert research into differentiated product offerings.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience leading applied research or advanced engineering teams in AI, HPC, or large-scale distributed systems.
• Proven track record of delivering ML models and infrastructure at petascale, preferably with 5,000+ GPU clusters.
• Deep expertise in high-performance networking (InfiniBand, RoCE, NVSwitch) and kernel-level optimization (eBPF, RDMA, CUDA).
• Author or co-author of peer-reviewed publications in efficient LLMs, model compression, or ML systems.
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, PyTorch, DeepSpeed/FSDP, and modern compiler stacks (Triton, TVM, MLIR/IREE).
• Must be located within the EMEA region.

• Experience transforming research outputs into commercial cloud or SaaS products.
• Direct contributions to standards or open-source frameworks in the AI/HPC ecosystem.
• Experience developing kernel/runtime collections or LUT/Tuning-based kernel libraries.
• Expertise in data-centre sustainability programs.
