What you will do

• Drive financial accountability and optimize cloud spend across the technology organization.
• Implement application-level cost visibility, allocation, and chargeback mechanisms.
• Identify and execute optimization opportunities such as rightsizing and reserved instances.
• Build automated guardrails, alerts, and remediation workflows using scripting.
• Leverage AI-driven insights and anomaly detection to identify inefficiencies and spend risks.
• Integrate cost controls directly into engineering pipelines and operational processes.

Requirements

• 6-10+ years of experience in cloud, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and GCP cost management and billing models.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Experience implementing tagging and governance standards at scale.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid setup in Irving, TX.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes or container cost optimization.
• FinOps Foundation certification.
• Experience operating in large-scale or multi-cloud environments.
• Familiarity with third-party cloud cost management platforms.
