What you will do

• Design and maintain cost and vendor data platforms across AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, and other strategic vendors.
• Translate raw usage signals into clear insights, recommendations, and playbooks that influence roadmaps and architecture.
• Personally execute cost optimizations, including rightsizing, storage tiering, and query optimization.
• Develop self-service FinOps tooling such as dashboards, scorecards, alerts, and bots.
• Define and codify standards for cost-efficient architecture into infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with Finance on spend forecasting, modeling the impact of new features, and vendor negotiations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in FinOps, SRE, Platform, or Infrastructure engineering.
• Proficiency in writing production-quality code in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages.
• Experience building cost data systems utilizing AWS CUR or other SaaS vendor exports.
• Proven track record of personally implementing infrastructure changes to reduce cloud spend.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data analytics tools.
• Ability to communicate complex technical and financial trade-offs to engineers, PMs, and executives.
