What you will do

• Deliver significant cost savings by reducing the cloud footprint across hirify.global service teams.
• Systematically identify and eliminate unused, orphaned, or over-provisioned resources to decrease waste.
• Provide accurate, data-driven cloud spend forecasts for finance and engineering leadership to improve budgeting.
• Evaluate and recommend commitment-based discount strategies, such as Reserved Instances and Savings Plans.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement right-sizing and upgrade workloads to efficient instance types.
• Develop and maintain cost dashboards and reporting mechanisms using Tableau, Looker, or native cloud consoles.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in cloud financial management, FinOps, or DevOps.
• Deep expertise in pricing models and billing mechanisms for AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for analyzing large, complex cloud billing datasets.
• Proven ability to communicate financial impact to both technical and non-technical leadership (VP+ level).
• Thorough understanding of the FinOps Foundation lifecycle (Inform, Optimize, Operate).
• A related technical degree is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Big Data and ETL data pipelines.
• FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) or similar certification.
• Experience developing and maintaining code in Git.
