is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer based on Schrödinger cat qubits.
What you will do
- Design and maintain Health & Safety Management Systems in line with ISO 45001, 14001, and 50001.
- Manage regulatory compliance, including the ICPE regulatory file and adherence to French and European HSE legislation.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments (DUER) for laboratories, cryogenic systems, and cleanrooms.
- Implement safety control measures for cryogens, high voltage, radiation, and ATEX zones.
- Oversee environmental and waste management according to REACH, RoHS, and ADR/IATA standards.
- Develop emergency response procedures and coordinate safety training and drills for all staff.
Requirements
- 5+ years of HSE engineering experience, ideally in semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, or deeptech labs.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering or a related field.
- Fluent French and professional-level English proficiency.
- Deep knowledge of cryogenic hazards and cleanroom protocols.
- Expertise in French regulations including ICPE, ATEX, and Code du Travail.
- Ability to work autonomously as the first dedicated HSE hire.
Nice to have
- NEBOSH International Certificate or equivalent.
- Fire safety / First Aid certification (e.g., SSIAP coordination).
- Environmental management certification.
