What you will do

  • Administer and support Linux distributions including Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, and SUSE in production environments.
  • Execute server installation, configuration, hardening, patching, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Monitor system health and analyze logs to troubleshoot performance and availability issues.
  • Resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLAs to ensure timely recovery.
  • Document operational procedures and collaborate with database, middleware, cloud, and storage teams.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience administering Linux operating systems in enterprise or production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or SUSE distributions.
  • Proven expertise in server lifecycle activities, including hardening and patching.
  • Experience resolving system and performance incidents under strict SLAs.
  • Intermediate English proficiency for technical documentation and collaboration with global teams.
  • Must be based in Mexico City.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of sudo, ACLs, and SELinux for security management.
  • Experience with Linux services such as systemd, cron, SSH, NFS, Samba, and Apache.
  • Basic Bash scripting experience for automation.
  • RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) or higher certification.
