Senior Decision Scientist (Ecommerce)

TL;DR

Senior Decision Scientist (Ecommerce): Leading the analytical side of a cross-functional team to remove friction and introduce new features in search with an accent on A/B testing and KPI monitoring. Focus on analyzing the impact of image search and ranking, uncovering new focus areas, and promoting a data-driven culture.

Location: Hybrid (Europe). 2 days in the office are recommended but not enforced.

Salary: €74,000 - €100,100 gross per year

What you will do

• Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Test and analyze developed opportunities using statistical methods and visualization tools to validate business impact.
• Define, calculate, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), proactively identifying root causes of issues.
• Develop self-service dashboards to enable stakeholders to leverage data for business insights.
• Promote best practices in analytics and decision-making to foster a data-driven culture.
• Review new business initiatives to ensure they are impactful and data-backed.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Decision Scientist, Data Analyst, or Data Scientist.
• Strong knowledge of at least one statistical programming language such as Python, R, Julia, or Scala.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with dashboarding tools like Looker or Tableau.
• Proven experience with A/B testing and product development.
• University degree in statistics, econometrics, economics, business, or a related field.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
