Senior Software Engineer (Electrification)

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Embedded/Electrification): Delivering high-quality software for embedded controls systems in the electrification space with an accent on high voltage contactors and energy management. Location: Hybrid in Milford, Michigan (minimum 3 days per week). Relocation benefits may be available.

What you will do

• Develop embedded control software for high voltage contactors and energy management systems.
• Ensure compliance with ISO26262 safety requirements and MISRA guidelines.
• Design physics and controls requirements for mechatronic controls and diagnostics strategies.
• Implement and test hardware-agnostic solutions using SiL, HiL, and vehicle-level frameworks.
• Develop AI-driven diagnostics and predictive analytics for fault and anomaly detection.
• Lead Agile Scrum team members and coordinate with cross-functional departments (Safety, SDV, Calibration).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Computer Science Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in embedded controls software for High Voltage Battery Systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Hands-on experience with Automotive Safety standards (ISO26262).
• Knowledge of automotive protocols including CAN, LIN, and Ethernet standards.
• Experience with JIRA and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a relevant Engineering field.
• Expertise in Auto Code Generation and Python scripting.
• Experience with bootloaders, embedded OS, and complex device drivers.
