What you will do

• Own the technical vision and define clear architectural principles and design guidelines for the product domain.
• Evaluate design trade-offs, select appropriate technologies and frameworks, and document technical decisions.
• Establish and enforce code quality standards, design patterns, and best practices through architectural and code reviews.
• Drive technology scouting to evaluate emerging frameworks and tools for relevance and sustainability.
• Coach and mentor engineers to develop their technical skills and resolve complex design challenges.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, and Requirements Engineers to ensure traceability, compliance, and testability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a STEM field.
• Professional experience in software development with demonstrated expertise in modern software architecture.
• Experience designing complex system architectures, such as microservices and distributed systems.
• Proven track record of technical leadership and influence within a development team.
• Fluent in German and professional English skills (written and spoken).
• Experience in compliance-heavy domains like defense, aerospace, or medical devices is a plus.
