Finance Officer (Humanitarian)

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day operational finance processes, ensuring adherence to NRC policies and donor requirements.
• Perform daily bookkeeping using the Agresso accounting system and manage cash and bank records.
• Verify supporting documents for payments to contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with standards.
• Handle monthly VAT recording and prepare payments for NSSF and income tax according to Ukrainian law.
• Coordinate cost allocations with regional finance teams and support budget forecasting.
• Ensure proper filing and archiving of all financial documentation according to standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related major.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in finance or accounting within the commercial sector or an INGO.
• Fluent in English and Ukrainian (written and spoken).
• Deep knowledge of Ukrainian taxation and labor laws.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting systems.
• Experience working in complex and volatile contexts.

• Knowledge of Audit requirements.
• Experience working with local and international donors.
