Location: Hybrid - Hook, UK (Must be in the office 30 days per quarter)

What you will do

• Define and execute the multi-year strategic roadmap for AI capabilities and product direction in partnership with IT leadership.
• Lead the technical discovery phase for engineering teams and business units, guiding complex AI integrations and architectural decisions.
• Champion API-First integration patterns to build reusable platform services tied to tangible customer outcomes.
• Collaborate with Information Security, Legal, and Privacy teams to ensure AI implementations meet compliance and ethical standards.
• Drive the adoption of new AI standards across teams and mentor junior engineers to foster a problem-solving mindset.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in software engineering within DevSecOps and Agile environments.
• Deep practical experience with RAG, LLMs, and MLOps.
• Expert proficiency in Python, React, and TypeScript.
• Must be based in or able to work from Hook, UK to meet hybrid office requirements.

Nice to have

• Expert-level understanding of NLP, Embeddings, and Prompt Engineering.
• Experience with Cloud platforms (GCP or Azure) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience designing data processing and document ingestion pipelines (e.g., Vertex AI, Azure Data Factory).
• Deep understanding of SDLC, API-Centric Design, and Twelve-Factor App principles.
