Avionics Engineer Intern (SpaceTech)

What you will do

• Build and test flight hardware in collaboration with the avionics engineering team.
• Design test equipment to validate designs under various stressed conditions.
• Perform bring-up and debug designs within the laboratory environment.
• Develop code to evaluate performance and automate the testing of satellite hardware.
• Implement low-level software to interface with spacecraft subsystems.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in electrical or computer engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience with Python and/or C++.
• Demonstrated ability to personally design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
• US Citizenship or Green Card (mandatory for export regulations compliance).
• Passion for hands-on hardware development in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Altium Designer or other PCB design software.
• Proficiency with SPICE-based simulators (LTSpice, PSPICE, ADS, etc.).
• Comfortable with soldering and hardware rework.
• Familiarity with standard EE lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies).
• Knowledge of basic switched mode converter design (boost and buck converters).
