What you will do

• Design and implement mathematical models of the New Glenn vehicle and launch site for operator training.
• Develop simulation architectures for real-time software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
• Create and maintain model documentation, databooks, and verification procedures.
• Collaborate across domains including guidance, control, aerodynamics, and propulsion to support architectural decisions.
• Execute component-level test programs and perform post-test analysis for model verification.
• Prepare and operate simulators during launch crew training sessions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, computer science, electrical, mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in software development.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape, Python, and C/C++.
• Knowledge of dynamic modeling (multi-body, gas dynamics, fluids, thermodynamics) and embedded systems.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and IP networking.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee.

Nice to have

• Experience in sensor modeling (pressure, temperature, etc.).
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical subsystems.
• Experience anchoring first-principles models to test data using numerical methods.
• Familiarity with AI model integration, development, and optimization.
