TL;DR

Cyprus-Qualified Legal Counsel (Legal): Handle corporate governance, commercial contracts, compliance, and employment law matters for Cyprus entities and global group companies with an accent on providing practical business-oriented advice to cross-functional teams. Focus on drafting and negotiating agreements, managing statutory filings, coordinating KYC/audits, and optimizing legal workflows using AI tools.

What you will do

  • Handle corporate governance and compliance for Cyprus entities and group companies worldwide, including approvals, filings, and record-keeping.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements like services, software, marketing, and intra-group contracts.
  • Provide legal advice to Finance, Procurement, HR, and business teams on day-to-day matters and cross-functional projects.
  • Support employment law matters in Cyprus, reviewing documentation and handling escalated issues.
  • Coordinate with external providers and contribute to legal process improvements, including AI-enabled tools.

Requirements

  • Cyprus-qualified lawyer with ~5 years post-qualification experience, ideally from law firm and in-house roles.
  • Strong expertise in corporate/commercial law, contract drafting/review, Cyprus corporate governance, compliance, and employment law.
  • Attention to detail, ownership, flexibility, and ability to give practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English at minimum C1 level (drafting and negotiation).

Nice to have

  • Multi-jurisdictional experience supporting global companies.
  • Experience with payment service providers (bank acquirers, PSPs, gateways).
  • Hands-on with AI tools for legal workflows, contract review, drafting, and research.
