What you will do

• Design and realize high-performance communications antenna systems using cutting-edge design tools.
• Collaborate with vendors to design and procure antenna and RF components.
• Validate component performance through anechoic chamber testing.
• Co-design antenna systems in conjunction with mechanical, thermal, and payload system engineers.

Requirements

• Fundamental understanding of electromagnetics, including antenna fundamentals, impedance matching, and transmission lines.
• Experience measuring components using vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal sources.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as CST, HFSS, or TICRA.
• Ability to solve engineering problems using Matlab or Python scripting.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected individual per U.S. Government export regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3D printing (DMLS and FDM).
• Knowledge of link budget and system calculations (EIRP, noise figure, G/T).
• Experience designing waveguide components like OMT, MUX, diplexers, and filters.
• Experience working with reflectors.
