Salary: $167,500 – $235,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and build infrastructure for storing, versioning, and retrieving structured knowledge across the organization.
• Implement and configure a headless CMS platform to translate knowledge architecture into scalable technical systems.
• Develop APIs and services to expose structured knowledge to internal tools and AI assistants.
• Build retrieval pipelines and experiment with RAG-based architectures for AI tooling.
• Collaborate with Content Design and Product teams to model relationships between entities, policies, and domain concepts.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies for knowledge storage and delivery infrastructure.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems.
• Strong expertise in designing APIs and backend services for multiple downstream consumers.
• Experience with structured content systems, CMS platforms, or knowledge management infrastructure.
• Proven track record of leading technical implementations and guiding architectural decisions.
• Familiarity with modern AI tooling and integrating LLM-based workflows.
• Must be based in New York City.

Nice to have

• Experience with Headless CMS platforms such as Contentful, Sanity, or Strapi.
• Knowledge of Git-based content workflows and markdown repositories.
• Experience with search and indexing systems.
