What you will do

• Define the multi-year technical strategy and architectural roadmap for RAG, multi-agent systems, real-time voice, and safety.
• Architect foundational platforms and systems used across multiple products and partners.
• Partner with executive and clinical leadership to translate healthcare goals into technical bets.
• Own the company-wide safety and evaluation standards for all agent deployments and model changes.
• Mentor Staff and Senior engineers to grow the organization's technical capabilities.
• Represent the company externally through publications, conference talks, and industry engagements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in software, ML, or AI engineering.
• Proven track record of shipping AI- or ML-powered products in production environments.
• Proficiency in Python, distributed systems, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Deep understanding of prompt engineering, vector databases, and RAG systems.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps practices (Terraform, CI/CD).
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Palo Alto five days a week.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling LLM-based or multi-agent systems.
• Hands-on experience with speech recognition, TTS, or streaming architectures.
• Background in healthcare or other safety-critical, regulated domains.
