Salary: $185,000 - $260,000, based on experience and location

What you will do

• Generate area strategy connecting primitives, connectivity, and composition into a coherent thesis on expansions and investments
• Frame problem spaces, make bets on primitive investments, and identify leverage points
• Drive 1-pagers and PRDs for improvements and new capabilities
• Own cross-SDK delivery, coordinating with SDK teams for consistent behavior across languages
• Run customer validation to prioritize based on evidence of primitive gaps
• Ensure primitive correctness in defaults, error handling, cancellation, and timeouts
• Act as domain lead, partner with engineering leadership on technical direction, and represent primitives in planning

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience, with significant time on platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing products
• Track record of generating area-level strategy, framing problems, making bets, and connecting investments
• Experience defining platform area vision across multiple primitives and timelines
• Driven complex cross-team delivery across SDKs or client libraries without direct authority
• Deep understanding of technical behaviors like timeouts vs cancellations
• Rigorous use of customer evidence for prioritization
• Partnership with engineering leadership to shape technical direction

Nice to have

• Experience with workflow engines, orchestration platforms, or durable execution
• Work on cross-language or cross-platform products
• Familiarity with competitive landscape: Restate, Inngest, Durable Objects, Step Functions
• Personal building or contributions to distributed systems
