Quality Lab Technician

TL;DR

Quality Lab Technician: Perform physical and chemical analyses of raw materials, in-process, and finished products using techniques like HPLC, GC, particle size analysis with an accent on accurate documentation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management. Focus on troubleshooting lab instruments, escalating out-of-spec materials, and implementing process improvements while adhering to quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Location: 100% onsite in Greenville, OH (45331). Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Salary: $49,500–$52,000 ($25/hour)

What you will do

• Analyze raw material, in-process, and finished product samples using HPLC, GC, particle size analyzer, density meter, viscometer, and other methods.
• Document analytical data accurately per SOPs and escalate out-of-spec materials to supervisor.
• Manage inventory of consumables like HPLC columns, spare parts, reference standards, and control samples.
• Perform routine troubleshooting and maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Identify and implement laboratory process improvements.
• Adhere to quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Factory work experience.
• QC experience or strong math skills.
• Strong computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of analytical techniques, chemical handling, use, storage, and disposal.
• Ability to work rotating shifts: days, nights, weekends, holidays.
• Minimum HS Diploma or GED.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in science.
• Proficiency in HPLC, wet chemistry, microbiological analysis.
• Experience with lab equipment.
