TL;DR

Software Engineer (Payment): Building and optimizing a resilient and scalable payment infrastructure for a global refurbished tech marketplace with an accent on payout lifecycles, seller onboarding, and financial risk monitoring. Focus on transitioning from a monolith to a distributed service-oriented architecture and delivering seamless user experiences at scale.

Location: Hybrid in Paris, France (2 remote days a week, 1 remote week per quarter, plus 3 flex days)

What you will do

  • Develop and manage the full payout lifecycle for a global network of refurbishers.
  • Build and maintain scalable payment infrastructure and financial risk monitoring systems.
  • Modernize the platform by transitioning from a monolith to a distributed, service-oriented architecture.
  • Collaborate within an agile "build it and run it" environment to launch, monitor, and support owned products.
  • Write clean, consistent, and well-organized code to ensure high system reliability.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in backend development.
  • Strong skills in system design and experience with microservices and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in data architecture and APIs.
  • English: C1 level (fluent) is required for collaboration with an international team.
  • Location: Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Paris, France.
  • Fullstack mindset with a curiosity for end-to-end product thinking and ability to navigate ambiguity.
