What you will do

• Lead development within the Abuse and Fraud Prevention portfolio to protect billions in annual revenue.
• Design service layer architecture and implement high-quality, scalable, and well-structured APIs.
• Coordinate and lead development work across globally distributed software teams.
• Mentor and grow developers in their craft while taking ownership of the full deployment cycle.
• Automate testing, deployments, performance monitoring, and recovery processes.
• Debug and triage production application issues in a 24/7 online environment.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United Kingdom.
• Demonstrable lead engineering experience with Java 17+ or other JVM languages.
• Strong backend development skills using modern frameworks such as Springboot.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud providers, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with CI/CD servers such as Gitlab or Jenkins.
• Deep understanding of SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and SOA development.

Nice to have

• Experience in DevOps, including Terraform and Helm.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk stack.
• Experience with Databricks or Spark.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and best practices for always-available services.
