Software Developer (Fullstack)

TL;DR

Software Developer (Fullstack): Designing and developing scalable, high-performance systems for a global used car marketplace with an accent on distributed systems, microservices, and micro-frontend architectures. Focus on building efficient data flows, optimizing CI/CD workflows, and managing Kubernetes-based services at scale.

Location: Hybrid in Austin, Texas (3 days per week in office). Must be authorized to work in the US; no immigration sponsorship provided.

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable, reliable systems that meet business performance, security, and maintainability requirements.
• Implement features using clean code practices, modern design patterns, and secure development standards.
• Build and maintain efficient synchronous and asynchronous data flows.
• Optimize CI/CD workflows using platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD.
• Manage and enhance Kubernetes services at scale using Helm charts and container orchestration best practices.
• Ensure platform stability via observability and monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software development with a track record of designing scalable systems.
• Proficiency in ReactJS for frontend and Java (Quarkus or Spring Boot) for backend.
• Strong understanding of microservices and micro-frontend architectures.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes administration, Docker, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Experience with PostgreSQL and event-driven systems like Kafka, Pulsar, or Azure Event Hub.
• Must have valid US work authorization; GM does not provide immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Redis, OpenSearch, or Elasticsearch.
• Experience leading large global eCommerce products with event-driven architectures.
