What you will do

• Lead the restaurants content vertical and execute overall content strategy in collaboration with brand leadership.
• Manage editorial direction for projects like "Best New Restaurants" across digital, social, and print platforms.
• Assign and edit coverage beats for newsletters, premium content, and SEO-driven refreshes.
• Cultivate and manage a diverse network of writers and editors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including the creative team, Test Kitchen, and audience development.
• Write stories across platforms and represent the brands in media, podcasts, and live events.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience writing and editing at a major digital-first publication.
• Proven track record in multiplatform editorial strategy focusing on restaurants.
• Significant management experience guiding the growth and performance of other editors and writers.
• Must be based in New York City.
• Proficiency with analytics tools such as Parse.ly, Google Analytics, and Looker.
• Deep expertise in SEO and catalog update best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Adobe InCopy/K4.
• Experience with newsletter-production platforms such as Sailthru, Letterhead, or Iterable.
