Staff Full Stack Engineer (Kotlin/React)

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services and APIs for personalization systems.
• Develop and maintain the Server-Driven UI service within the Backend-for-Frontend architecture, along with backend services and databases.
• Drive architectural improvements focused on reliability, scalability, maintainability, observability, and performance.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, engineering leadership, and cross-functional teams to build personalized user experiences.
• Mentor engineers, lead technical planning and project execution, and promote software engineering best practices.
• Contribute hands-on code and support the on-call rotation for revenue-critical systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of full stack or backend software development experience.
• Expertise in React, Kotlin, TypeScript, and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience architecting and scaling complex backend systems in high-growth environments.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, event-driven architecture, and scalability best practices.
• Advanced English communication skills and demonstrated experience mentoring engineers.
• Fluency with AI engineering tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and other DevOps or cloud platforms.
• Experience with React Native.
