What you will do

• Review and approve test reports for clinical molecular and cytogenetic results, including cfDNA and germline testing.
• Oversee the interpretation of genetic testing results based on medical literature and patient clinical data.
• Provide technical and clinical support for laboratory staff and genetic counselors.
• Establish and maintain analytic performance standards to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Analyze clinical data and contribute to publications in high-quality scientific journals.
• Manage technical supervision, including method validation and proficiency testing (PT) programs.

Requirements

• MD, DO, and/or PhD in genetics or a related field.
• ABMGG or ABP board certification in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics or Molecular Genetic Pathology.
• Current California license as a Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist (or eligibility for licensure).
• Current NYS CLEP Certificate of Qualification in Genetic Testing (or eligibility for certification).
• 2+ years of experience in a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory setting.
• Knowledge of CAP, CLIA, and California and New York state regulations.
