What you will do

• Analyze specimens and perform clinical tests according to standard operating procedures with high precision.
• Oversee day-to-day lab production to ensure goals are met and all case samples are processed.
• Train and mentor new hires on lab processes and act as a super user for specialized instrument protocols.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and escalate technical issues to management with proposed solutions.
• Ensure strict adherence to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and HIPAA/PHI privacy standards.
• Manage the lab floor in the absence of a supervisor and provide performance feedback for team members.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Medical Technologist in a clinical laboratory environment.
• BS/BA degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
• Current California CLS license or CGMBS license required.
• Experience in Molecular Biology and excellent pipetting skills.
• Ability to discern color visually for cellular morphology evaluation.
