What you will do

• Manage day-to-day staffing, scheduling, and sample processing to meet department goals.
• Monitor team adherence to SOPs, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee training for new hires and conduct staff performance reviews.
• Troubleshoot lab issues, document nonconformances, and escalate as needed.
• Lead shift meetings, maintain team morale, and handle employee issues.
• Collaborate with interdepartmental teams and assist in CAPAs and side projects.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Medical Technology or related field with 4+ years CLIA lab experience, or equivalent qualifications (e.g., Master’s with 2-3 years).
• Current MT/MLS/CLS/MB/MDx certification from ASCP, AMT, or AAB.
• Proven leadership experience in lab operations.
• Experience in molecular biology, troubleshooting, and pipetting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and data management skills.
• Must complete HIPAA/PHI privacy and security training within 30 days of hire.
