TL;DR

Lead Data Scientist (Brightflag): Building machine learning solutions for SaaS legal management platform with an accent on classical ML tasks and generative AI applications. Focus on developing classification, regression, NLP models, generative text models, and deploying them to production.

Location: Hybrid (8 days/month in Dublin office), remote from anywhere in Ireland. No work permit sponsorship.

What you will do

• Own model development from exploratory analysis and proof-of-concept to production deployment.
• Develop classification, regression, and clustering models to solve business problems.
• Apply generative AI models to generate text, reports, and insights for new product features.
• Analyze natural language text for insights and data transformation.
• Research novel ML techniques and libraries for proof-of-concepts.
• Collaborate with engineering to deploy models and AI solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years developing ML models, ideally in software product environment
• Strong Python programming skills
• Strong NLP skills: TF-IDF, topic modeling, Word2Vec, Transformers, text embeddings
• Experience with generative AI text applications
• Classification (multiclass/multi-label), regression, familiarity with time series
• Base Python stack (NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn), neural networks (Keras/TensorFlow/PyTorch)
• Comfortable with ambiguity in fast-paced product environment
• Track record of shipping products with product and engineering teams

Nice to have

• Cloud deployment (AWS ML stack, CI/CD: Jenkins, AWS Codebuild, etc.)
• Docker, containerization, bash scripting, Linux, Git
• Dashboard tools (PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau)
• Clustering (KMeans, DBSCAN)
