Data Engineer (SIE)

Location: Saint Paul, MN (Hybrid: in-person collaboration required; US Citizen with active U.S. national security clearance required; travel to customer sites may be required)

Salary: 100,700 - 130,500 USD per year (Saint Paul, MN)

What you will do

• Collaborate with developers, data scientists, and product managers to gather requirements and align on data solutions.
• Design scalable data ingestion, transformation, and storage pipelines using orchestration and processing tools.
• Implement data quality checks, validation, and comprehensive testing for accuracy and integrity.
• Debug issues, document processes, and ensure alignment with program objectives.
• Manage projects, foster cross-functional collaboration, and communicate technical information effectively.
• Integrate containerization and Agile methodologies to support enterprise deployment.

Requirements

• US Citizen with active U.S. national security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
• Proficient with Orchestration tools (Apache Airflow) and data processing tools (Apache Spark)
• Advanced knowledge of object storage, unstructured data management, and cross-domain solutions in secure environments
• Advanced knowledge of containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm)
• Proficient in ETL processes, data warehousing, Agile, and object-oriented programming
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/science or equivalent with 2-5 years experience in technical leadership
• Excellent written and oral communication

Nice to have

• CompTIA Security+ Certification
• Experience with Typescript/Express, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, modern JS frameworks (Angular, React)
• Aerospace/defense industry knowledge and DoD software policies
