Location: Remote (United States of America). Must live in and be eligible to work in the United States. Required to attend on-site meetings multiple times per year (interview, onboarding, team meetings).

Salary: $150,000-170,000/year

What you will do

• Collaborate with Implementation and Data Analyst teams to review and own data engineering requirements and communicate timelines.
• Lead backlog grooming, peer reviews, DE UATs, and resolve post-UAT issues.
• Design and maintain data transformation pipelines using dbt (macros, incremental models, tests).
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship to juniors, promote best practices, and ensure team cross-coverage.
• Champion AI-assisted development with tools like Claude, Cursor, Copilot for code generation and automation.
• Author technical documentation and support project management.

Requirements

• 6+ years working with data in production environments
• Proven ability to lead a small team (up to 3 engineers)
• Track record building automated ETL workflows using Python and dbt SQL
• Hands-on with Snowflake, AWS (S3, DynamoDB, Batch, Step Functions), large-scale datasets (10GB+)
• Deep understanding of healthcare and healthcare claims data, strong data modeling skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication; familiarity with AI coding assistants
• All staff complete Information Security and HIPAA training
