What you will do

• Design and maintain native Android applications with a focus on video streaming performance and usability.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to define and implement new mobile features.
• Optimize app performance, memory usage, and network efficiency for a smooth user experience.
• Integrate video playback technologies including HLS/DASH and DRM across various devices.
• Ensure high code quality through test automation, peer reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Participate in architecture discussions and influence key technical decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Deep knowledge of Kotlin, Java, and Jetpack libraries.
• Experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, and modern UI frameworks like Jetpack Compose.
• Expertise in video streaming (HLS/DASH/CMAF) and DRM.
• Strong understanding of Kotlin Coroutines, RxJava, and asynchronous programming.
• Must be based in or able to work hybridly from Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

Nice to have

• Experience with consumer-facing apps with high user engagement.
• Familiarity with accessibility, localization, and device fragmentation.
• Knowledge of app analytics and A/B testing frameworks.
• Experience with AWS or Firebase.
• Android certification.
