What you will do

• Build and ship monetization experiences on Android, including plan selection, purchase flows, and subscription management.
• Design and maintain shared Android frameworks and primitives for account, trust, and commerce flows.
• Own complex Android systems end-to-end across UI architecture, networking, local persistence, and observability.
• Build robust integrations with Android platform components such as Google Play Billing and device security signals.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and responsiveness at global scale, focusing on startup time and network resiliency.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Research, and Safety teams to ensure high standards for privacy and policy compliance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant Android ownership.
• Proven track record of shipping high-quality Android applications in production, especially for identity and payments.
• Fluency in Kotlin and proficiency with Android Studio, Gradle, and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with modern app architecture patterns and pragmatic architectural tradeoffs.
• Ability to thrive in 0→1 environments where systems and user experiences are defined from scratch.
• Location: Must be based in San Francisco.
