TL;DR

In-Home Registered Nurse, Acute Care (Hybrid) (Pediatrics): Delivering in-home assessments, procedures, and virtual acute care for children with medical complexity with an accent on family-centered support, urgent needs management, and care coordination. Focus on conducting point-of-care testing, IVs, wound care, medication administration, and building trusted relationships with patients and families.

Washington, DC (Hybrid): Primary location remote with travel to patient homes in and around Washington, DC area. Current residence in the DC metro area required. Active DC RN license required.

$44/hr - $48/hr

Tech-enabled, pediatrician-led medical group providing 24/7 virtual first and in-home care for children with special health care needs.

What you will do

  • Travel to members’ homes or community settings to deliver episodic, longitudinal, and urgent care support.
  • Build trusted relationships with patients and families while providing compassionate, coordinated care.
  • Collaborate with integrated care team including physicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, navigators, social workers, and therapists.
  • Conduct in-home assessments, perform procedures (ear irrigation, point-of-care testing, IVs, lab draws, wound care, medication administration), and provide education using care platform.
  • Perform acute care RN duties a few days per week for virtual nursing, assessments, and urgent pediatric needs.
  • Document in electronic medical records (Athena) and communicate via proprietary application.

Requirements

  • Active DC RN license required, compact license preferred.
  • Current residence in the DC metro area.
  • PALS & BLS required.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).
  • Minimum 4+ years of pediatric nursing experience.
  • 1–2 years in pediatric emergency medicine experience.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and good driving record.
