Major Gift Officer

Salary: $115,890 – $145,000 depending on experience

What you will do

• Manage and grow a portfolio of 100-150 donors and prospects capable of $50,000+ annual gifts
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors via personalized strategies, outreach, and engagement events
• Develop tailored proposals, briefings, and solicitation strategies with leadership and program experts
• Maintain accurate donor records in Salesforce CRM and execute moves management
• Support cultivation events, donor gatherings, and occasional evening/weekend activities
• Collaborate with communications and program teams on donor materials aligned to strategic priorities
• Contribute to revenue planning, forecasting, and individual giving growth strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
• 5+ years fundraising experience in individual or major giving
• Proven success securing six- and seven-figure gifts through cultivation and stewardship
• Strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills
• Comfortable with frequent travel (20-25%), occasional evenings/weekends, and independent work
• Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce
• Strong organizational skills and enthusiasm for CATF’s climate mission
