TL;DR
R Software and Support Engineer (R): Building, deploying, and troubleshooting R software packages within a managed application stack with an accent on technical support and end-user enablement. Location: Remote (Global). Working hours must overlap with US Pacific Time (12:00 PM – 5:00 PM PST)

What you will do
- Build, deploy, and troubleshoot R software packages within a managed application stack.
- Provide R programming language support as part of the enablement team for end-user communities.
- Relay stakeholder needs and requirements to developer teams.
- Prepare and deliver technical training sessions.
- Collaborate closely with developers and users to ensure software stability.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in the R ecosystem and Posit tools (RStudio/Workbench, RShiny/Connect).
- Ability to troubleshoot dependencies and build failures for R packages.
- Strong working experience with Linux/Unix operating systems, software compilation, and command line.
- Knowledge of Git and experience with GitHub, GitLab, and/or Bitbucket.
- Experience presenting technical work to stakeholders and management.
- Working hours must overlap with US Pacific Time (12:00 PM – 5:00 PM PST)
Nice to have
- Experience with Bioconductor (bioinformatics software).
- Experience with Python and Jupyter Notebook.
- Knowledge of software packaging tools such as EasyBuild, Spack, or Homebrew.
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD and testing frameworks.
- Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Life Sciences, or Physical Sciences.
