What you will do

• Build, deploy, and troubleshoot R software packages within a managed application stack.
• Provide R programming language support as part of the enablement team for end-user communities.
• Relay stakeholder needs and requirements to developer teams.
• Prepare and deliver technical training sessions.
• Collaborate closely with developers and users to ensure software stability.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in the R ecosystem and Posit tools (RStudio/Workbench, RShiny/Connect).
• Ability to troubleshoot dependencies and build failures for R packages.
• Strong working experience with Linux/Unix operating systems, software compilation, and command line.
• Knowledge of Git and experience with GitHub, GitLab, and/or Bitbucket.
• Experience presenting technical work to stakeholders and management.
• Working hours must overlap with US Pacific Time (12:00 PM – 5:00 PM PST)

Nice to have

• Experience with Bioconductor (bioinformatics software).
• Experience with Python and Jupyter Notebook.
• Knowledge of software packaging tools such as EasyBuild, Spack, or Homebrew.
• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD and testing frameworks.
• Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Life Sciences, or Physical Sciences.
