What you will do
- Clean, process, and retarget captured mocap data to digital character rigs.
- Collaborate with directors, animators, and technical artists to refine performance quality.
- Integrate animations into Unreal Engine 5.
- Troubleshoot mocap rigs and markers to ensure technical stability.
- Maintain animation quality across all assets according to artistic and technical standards.
- Champion best technical practices in collaboration with art, design, and code teams.
Requirements
- Experience as a Technical/Mo Cap Animator on at least one published AAA console title.
- Extensive proficiency with MotionBuilder and Maya.
- Proven experience with mocap clean-up tools.
- Deep understanding of human anatomy, creature mechanics, and animation principles.
- Proven experience working within Unreal Engine 5.
- Must be based in or able to work from the Edinburgh studio (UK).
