What you will do

• Work with Lead Character Artist, Art Director, and Animation team to create characters meeting technical project requirements
• Collaborate with animation, tech art, and game design to optimize and integrate character assets into the game world
• Develop and implement new techniques and tools to improve character art pipeline efficiency and quality
• Maintain communication to meet project goals and deadlines, seeking feedback actively
• Work with Technical Artists and Engineering to optimize assets for performance
• Participate in critiques and reviews to uphold high standards for character art

Requirements

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, thriving in team environments
• Shipped one or more games as Character Artist
• Excellent portfolio with recent Character Art examples
• Strong understanding of human anatomy, movement, cloth deformation, and shaders
• Proficiency in Maya, 3DS Max, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, Photoshop, Substance Painter
• Ability to create realistic human characters from concept to optimized in-game assets

Nice to have

• Experience with Unreal Engine
• Passion for character design and life drawing
• Passion for video games and current trends in character art
