What you will do

• Manage the ‘Packaging & Consumables’ category (including CIT, Dry Goods, and Tool of Trade) with an annual remit exceeding $120M.
• Lead the development and delivery of high-value category strategies focused on cost containment, risk mitigation, and value creation.
• Partner with business stakeholders to drive sourcing activities, advanced negotiations, and demand management.
• Develop and implement vendor performance metrics and comprehensive Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) plans.
• Lead, train, and develop a team of 1-2 direct reports (Category Specialists).
• Drive Supplier Diversity, ESG priorities, and business efficiency through strategic sourcing.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Procurement Category Management.
• Proven expertise specifically within the packaging & consumables category.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to build relationships across all stakeholder levels.
• Intermediate analytical skills to interpret complex data into actionable insights.
• Must be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
