Location: Hybrid; must be based in or local to Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto (minimum 2 days per week in office)

Salary: $116,500 – $157,500 CAD

What you will do

• Operate corporate security toolsets, including monitoring and triaging DLP alerts and executing EDR response procedures.
• Run end-to-end phishing simulation campaigns and manage employee education loops.
• Handle L1/L2 security incidents involving phishing, device compromise, and data loss.
• Maintain security runbooks and support evidence collection for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance.
• Develop scripts for auto-remediation and tune security tooling for AI-based detection of unauthorized data moves.
• Collaborate with IT Systems, AppSec, and Compliance teams to unify security oversight and communication.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in security operations, IT security, or endpoint support.
• Proficiency with EDR, DLP, Phishing tools, SSO platforms, or Google Workspace security controls.
• Must be local to Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto for mandatory hybrid office attendance.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on identifying root causes rather than symptoms.
• Clear, evidence-first written communication and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MDM or SIEM in a security incident context.
• Experience supporting SOC 2 or ISO 27001 evidence collection.
• Scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation.
• Relevant certifications: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or equivalent.
