Angular Technical Lead (Angular/Healthtech): Modernizing healthcare radiology software portfolio by leading the development of Angular web applications with a Java backend with an accent on component standardization, event-driven SOA, and cloud-native architecture. Location: Hybrid: 3 days a week in London (Farringdon) office, 2 days from home

Salary: Up to £90,000 per annum

What you will do

• Lead a squad of UK and offshore engineers, collaborating with Product Managers and Architects.
• Drive the modernization of legacy Java applications into a suite of modern Angular web apps.
• Design scalable cloud solutions on AWS using ECS, Lambda, RDS, and S3.
• Define and enforce architectural guardrails and clean architecture patterns.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and promote DevOps practices.
• Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and champion the adoption of AI in development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in senior/lead Angular roles scaling enterprise systems.
• Proven track record of transforming monolithic systems into modular event-based architectures, preferably using Kafka.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CDK/Terraform).
• Experience translating Figma designs into standardized Storybook components.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and containerization tools.
• Must be based in the UK to support the hybrid office requirement in London.

• Experience in health-tech.
• Knowledge of Java.
