What you will do

• Build and operate backend services and platform infrastructure for customer-facing products.
• Develop Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
• Implement high-throughput, data-intensive features.
• Ensure reliability and scalability within the Glassdoor and Indeed ecosystems.
• Integrate LLM-based workflows and AI-enabled product experiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with production-grade systems.
• Expert proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Gradle.
• Strong experience in microservices and RESTful API design.
• Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with distributed systems and fault-tolerant service design.
• Must be eligible for 100% Mexican payroll.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven design.
• Familiarity with GraphQL or API gateways.
• Exposure to LLM/AI APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
• Prior remote contracting or cross-functional leadership experience.
