Salary: $25.50–$47.00 per hour

What you will do

• Design, develop, and refine prototypes and mock-ups for testing platforms.
• Create custom electro-mechanical test fixtures tailored to specific applications.
• Conduct physical testing and analysis in the laboratory to verify design requirements.
• Collaborate with Hardware, System, Operations, and Supply Chain teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Partner with suppliers to manage component sourcing and ensure cost-effective manufacturability.
• Document all design phases, including specification changes and test results.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD for creating detailed mechanical designs and assemblies.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be local to the position location (North Reading, MA).
• Not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience designing automation systems with motors, slides, sensors, and controls.
• Familiarity with basic electrical systems and wiring principles.
• Hands-on laboratory testing experience.
• Knowledge of software or firmware development for embedded systems.
