What you will do

• Optimize browser rendering pipelines, interaction delays, and memory management for the core editor.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver scalable software solutions.
• Advocate for engineering best practices and facilitate knowledge sharing across teams.
• Drive technical ownership and process improvements to achieve performance goals.

Requirements

• Must be based in Melbourne and able to work from the campus.
• Strong expertise in frontend development using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and design patterns.
• Experience with performance debugging, benchmarking, and optimizing complex web applications.
• Ability to break down large-scale projects and deliver results through effective collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with browser rendering pipelines and event handling.
• Knowledge of WebWorkers, WebGL, or WebGPU.
• Experience building internal or external SDKs and APIs.
