What you will do

• Own the competitive event ecosystem, including marquee properties like the Speed Chess Championship and Titled Tuesday.
• Oversee broadcast operations to ensure top-tier production quality and strategic programming for original shows.
• Drive the commercial strategy and brand partnerships across the broader product portfolio.
• Identify and develop new revenue streams through product integrations and innovative feature sponsorships.
• Manage the Events & Commercial P&L, including budgets, headcount, and strategic resource allocation.
• Lead and mentor team leads across Events, Broadcast, and Business Development.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in events, sports media, esports, or digital entertainment with P&L ownership.
• Proven track record as a leader of leaders, having managed Directors and VPs.
• Expertise in online competitive programming and digital-first event production at scale.
• Experience running broadcast operations and managing production teams.
• Strong background in closing commercial deals and digital advertising sales to large brands.
• Ability to work within USA, Canada, or EMEA regions.

Nice to have

• Background in chess, esports, or passion-driven competitive communities.
• Experience working with sports governing bodies and navigating their logistics.
• Familiarity with producing high-impact in-person events across multiple countries.
• Experience operating within a fast-paced, founder-led organization.
