What you will do

• Lead the engineering of robust mobile applications for iOS and Android, ensuring native-level fluidity and high-fidelity performance.
• Integrate mobile front-ends with BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) and API service layers to optimize data flow and responsiveness.
• Establish coding standards, lead rigorous code reviews, and implement common design patterns across multiple workstreams.
• Partner with Strategy, Creative, and Client leads to translate complex business requirements into executable technical features.
• Mentor the engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and adherence to mobile best practices.
• Transition prototypes and Proof of Concepts (POC) into stable, scalable production-ready code.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional engineering experience with mastery of React Native, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Extensive experience deploying and supporting native applications on both the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
• Proficiency with bare React Native workflows, Metro bundler, Babel, Redux Toolkit, and RTK Query.
• Proven experience with BFF architectures and integrating complex API layers.
• Experience building themed, high-fidelity UIs using systems like Nativewind or Tamagui.
• Must present a professional license if the candidate holds a degree in Engineering or a related profession.

Nice to have

• Experience with Airship for push notifications and Commerce/Payment integrations (Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay).
• Proficiency with mobile CI/CD pipelines using Fastlane, GitHub Actions, TestFlight, and Firebase App Distribution.
• Skill in mobile testing frameworks (Jest, Detox) and performance profiling.
