Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and build features for on-trail navigation and discovery experiences in the Android app.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners across design, product, analytics, and QA.
• Identify and fix bugs to ensure app stability and reliability, especially in low-connectivity environments.
• Deliver performant, reliable, scalable, and secure code.
• Monitor app performance and address scaling issues in partnership with senior engineers.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience developing native Android applications.
• Proficiency with Kotlin and familiarity with modern Android development patterns.
• Experience with Java and Android Studio.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating backend services.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose or a strong interest in learning it.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Mapping/GIS experience or interest in geospatial products.
• Fluency with A/B testing or experimentation frameworks on mobile.
• Experience working with or contributing to mobile design systems.
• Ability to incorporate AI tools to enhance productivity and creativity.
