What you will do

• Own GAAP-compliant books and manage the monthly close process.
• Ensure corporate, sales, and location tax compliance and maintain audit readiness.
• Manage the cap table, option pool tracking, and grant issuance via Carta.
• Coordinate Budget vs. Actual reporting and monitor overall cash health.
• Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and tax advisors.
• Oversee AR/AP, procurement, and payroll accounting integration.

Requirements

• 8+ years in finance or accounting with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Deep understanding of GAAP accounting and venture-backed startup financial operations.
• Proficiency with Carta, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and similar financial tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience supporting audit or tax processes in high-growth environments.
• Familiarity with hardware or deep tech company finance operations.
• Prior experience in interim, fractional, or contractor leadership roles.
