What you will do

• Assemble wind turbine components (nacelles, hubs, drive trains) using hand tools, power tools, and overhead cranes.
• Perform precision torquing, alignment, and fit-up of gearboxes, bearings, and shafts.
• Follow detailed engineering drawings and work instructions to ensure accurate builds.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to troubleshoot production problems and improve assembly processes.
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain a clean work area to prevent injuries.
• Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or heavy manufacturing (wind turbine, automotive, or industrial equipment).
• Ability to achieve and maintain crane operator certification.
• Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints and using torque, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
• Must be able to pass a respiratory fit test and work at heights.
• Fluency in English for safety communication and collaboration.

Nice to have

• Understanding of ISO 9000:2000 Quality System.
• Mechanical certifications or technical training.
